Surgitime Non-Resorbable membranes are 100% biocompatible and of synthetic origin.
Regarded as barriers for tissue regeneration, they are used in regenerative techniques in both the medical and dental fields; they have shape memory and can be pre-molded to the bone defect.
Due to their consistency and ease of adhesion to the recipient site, they eliminate the need for fixators such as screws or tacks, significantly reducing immediate and delayed postoperative problems such as contamination with fistula and abscess formation.
Surgitime Non-Resorbable, or mechanical barriers for GTR - Guided Tissue Regeneration - function to prevent the migration of epithelial and connective tissue cells, which would inhibit bone growth, while providing adequate space for the formation of a natural fibrin scaffold, a precursor to bone tissue.
The membrane prevents tissue competition between connective tissue and bone, and is intended to isolate bone grafts, favoring tissue growth.
They come in different lengths, widths, and thicknesses, allowing the appropriate choice for each surgical procedure.
