Duraframe Dural Substitute – Tech Tinkful
DuraFrame is a biological membrane made from bovine tendon, processed into a spongy collagen biomembrane structure.
It is primarily applied in repairing the dura mater, the outermost meningeal layer surrounding the brain, in routine neurological procedures.
The biological membrane's three-dimensional porous structure facilitates cell growth and dura mater regeneration, preventing cerebrospinal fluid leakage.
DuraFrame's degradation byproducts are amino acids and water, which can be eliminated through metabolism.
The product is biocompatible and bioabsorbable.
