Quickclean Absorbable Hemostatic Powder
Quickclean Hemostatic Powder is a medical device made of spherical or ellipsoidal microporous microcapsules with a spatial reticular microstructure, plus an applicator. It has good biocompatibility and a diameter of 30.8 μm to 97 μm, produced from potato starch as raw material using emulsification and crosslinking technology.
It is aseptic and non-pyrogenic and contains no components of animal or human origin.
It is intended for use as an absorbable hemostatic agent to control bleeding during open surgical procedures, endoscopic/laparoscopic surgical procedures, or after traumatic injuries.
It is an adjunctive hemostatic device.
It provides fast, effective hemostasis; a fast absorption rate (absorbable in 14 days); and fast availability, since it requires no reconstitution, mixing, or soaking.
Advantages:
1. Blood clot strength is 2-3 times greater than that of a physiological blood clot.
2. Dual hemostasis: mechanical plugging plus an accelerated endogenous coagulation mechanism.
3. Safety - it contains no animal or human components; using purified plant-derived material is key to minimizing the risk of infection and bleeding-related complications during surgery. This plant-based hemostatic agent is currently the safest hemostatic agent available.
4. Efficacy - dual-action mechanism: its ultra-hydrophilic nature enhances and accelerates the coagulation cascade, together with the formation of a gel matrix that forms a mechanical barrier against bleeding.
5. Ease of use - no special preparation or storage requirements.
