Osseoplus was developed with the following characteristics: biocompatible and biofunctional.

The osteoconduction promoted by Osseoplus occurs because the product can be phagocytosed by osteoclasts, acting as a bone matrix that supports osteogenesis; this is evidenced by the presence of osteoclasts and osteoblasts (bone cells), making the product a scaffold for cell invasion. As a result, Osseoplus is biodegradable through osteoclast action, leading to bone formation.

OSSEOPLUS is indicated for medical and dental use to support new bone formation, stimulating the action of fibroblasts, osteoclasts, and osteoblasts.

Once implanted, the graft promotes regeneration and restoration of the injured area and is absorbed by the body.

Absorption time varies from patient to patient, also depending on the skeletal system in which it was grafted.

COMPOSITION Osseoplus consists of: • ≥ 60% Hydroxyapatite • ≤ 40% Calcium phosphates

INDICATIONS

Indicated for filling and restoring bone loss, as well as maintaining anatomical (bone) structures, buccomaxillofacial reconstruction; filling bone cavities resulting from injuries, segmental loss, depressions, dehiscences, pseudoarthrosis, bone infections, osteomyelitis, osteolysis, cysts, and tumors; filling of the alveolar ridge due to atrophy; maxillary sinus filling; maxillary sinus floor; intraosseous periodontal lesions; periapical lesions; substitute for non-infected surgical bone defects; defects after surgical removal and corrective osteotomies; reconstructive surgery of injured bone areas; arthrodesis (spinal arthrodesis necessarily assisted by a Cage); aesthetic repair of bone parts.

It therefore has applications and indications for bone formation in orthopedics and traumatology, neurosurgery, surgery and traumatology, buccomaxillofacial surgery, reconstructive bone plastic surgery, craniofacial surgery, dental surgery, ophthalmology, and otolaryngology.
